The Cornerstone Initiative is a new approach to building long-term relationships between The African Village UK and a select group of leading global organisations.
Rather than conventional sponsorship, each organisation is invited to become a Cornerstone Institution, with an opportunity to establish a meaningful and enduring presence within the Village and help shape what it becomes.

The African Village will bring together culture, entertainment, business, education, innovation and investment in one permanent destination serving Africa, the global African diaspora and the wider world. Cornerstone Institutions will have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with the people, communities and markets that come together here.
The Cornerstone Initiative is intentionally selective. Each designated category will have one Cornerstone Institution, creating a distinctive position within The African Village and avoiding the crowded, fragmented environment associated with conventional sponsorship programmes.
Appointments will be developed around the strategic interests and capabilities of each Institution, with relationships extending from the development phase through to the opening and operation of the Village.
